Vila do Bispo is a small village located in the Southwestern part of Portugal. The village still exudes the same authenticity, from what is expected from an old Portuguese village. Unaffected by hordes of tourists, a little sleepy town with a nice old square and small streets.
The striking building in the centre of the village is the Igreja Nossa Senhora da Conceição. A beautiful white church in the typical Portuguese style.
Vila do Bispo is also very popular with hikers and mountain bikers. There are several hiking/biking trails in the area, in addition, Vila do Bispo is also part of 2 long distance hiking routes which are leading from the south of Portugal all the way north along the coast (Rota Vicentina e Via Algarviana).
The surroundings of the village are beautiful, walking or cycling through the fields of wildflowers where you can relax.
